Acer Predator X34A huge fps drops / stuttering!

Hello!

I've purchased the Acer Predator x34A 2 days ago. Yesterday, i was playing for 2-3 hours, and suddenly my game started to stutter quite a lot. It was dropping from 100 fps to 60-70 in a matter of seconds and then back up to 100. And this happens every 3-4 seconds. I've tried changing to another DP, and HDMI, resetting the monitor while ingame, turning it on and off, still didn't fix it.
Turning G-sync off (v-sync always off), still not working. Afterwards, i tried connecting my old Asus 24QE monitor, it worked without issues (while ingame as well). I plugged back in the Predator, and it still continued to stutter. The only fix, is to restart my PC.

Also, checking my GPU temps and CPU temps are not the problem. This has to be the monitor that's the issue, but i cannot seem to find any fix for it, it's very odd that a monitor does this? I also thought that it could be the G-sync or V-sync, but as i turn them off, the problem still persists?

I really cant be bothered sending it back for RMA, then i rather just have a refund, but i've grown quite fond of the monitor, that i really want to fix this issue, so please, anyone out there with the same problem, or a solution?

Specs:

16GB HyperX Fury
i7-4790k
1080 Zotac AMP!

MSI-z97 Gaming 5

Have you figured out any fix to this? I am running the Predator XB241YU 1440p monitor and having the same issues with frame drops. I have an AMD FX-8350 with 16gb RAM and a GTX 970. It is especially bad in Rocket League which I used to run at around 200 fps on my old monitor and now I get constant drops when playing (FPS locked at 165 in-game, will bounce from 165 to <30 in a second and then reset back to 165).
