Acer p186h input not supported (with wireless adapter)

My church recently got a new Dell all in one touch screen, with a microsoft wireless adapter. Most of it hooked up easily and worked well, except for the second monitor on the desk. We have a projector and the monitor on the desk that are both extended desktops, but only the monitor is saying "input not supported". The projector works just fine. Now, here's the questionable part: The monitor still displays what I want (the desktop, slideshows, ect.), but it has a floating dialog box saying the input isnt supported. I have tried to change the resolution and refresh rate to what it likes (1440 x 900 @ 60Hz), plus every other option available. What else can I do?

Its a Dell Inspirion 20 model 3052 series with Windows 10. From there, it goes to the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. That is plugged into a Belkin HDMI to VGA adapter. The VGA adapter is plugged into a VGA multiplier. From there, one goes to the projector, and one goes to the monitor.
Yes, we had to "frankenstein" it, as my buddy said, but thats the only way we could make it work with the existing stuff. Any solutions?
