Acer E627  wont power on

was getting blue screen after logging on in full mode. Was able to run it in Safe Mode and I removed a lot of junk and cleaned up the registries. It has non activated Norton which I used its removal tool to remove. Was trying to install AVG which for some reason it would not take. I would get a blue screen when I tried safe mode with internet access. Thought it was a Virus that was causing the blue screen.  Now  power supply burned out and it won’t boot put on an alternative supply of same voltage and the battery has gone dead. It warned me before it shut down that mains voltage supply had had failed.

also my serial no is not recognised for to make complaint

    How old is your computer?

Is it still under standered warranty.

its approx 1yr and 10mts a laptop that got very liittle usage and what also annoys me is the serial no is not recognised in the acer web page to get address to the problem therefore I cant log on and my emails to info@emachine.com are not answered. Overall it shows to me the nature of the fault that its not a product of merchantable quality and for Acer it appears they dont want to know

As the laptop is out of wattanty you won’t be able to get in touch with emachimes technical support.

If it is the issue with the adapter please check the output voltage of the adapter with a multimeter. If it is dead you can purchase the original adapter from emachines accessory store.

If not get the laptop checked by a technician

You can check the below link to see if they do repair for  laptops. They do sell accessories  for laptop.

is that the reason it don’t recognise the serial number, why don’t their web site indicate this. So if it’s out of the 12mts warranty is tough look, so where does one go now. The laptop is only 1 yr and 10mts old with very little usage. As for the fault the laptop, it has burned out the power supply I have confirmed same with a multimeter. I put an alternative power supply of the same voltage on it and the laptop would not switch on nor charge the battery. When using it in safe mode it warned me mains supply had failed and it continued on battery for an hour then went completely dead so I presume it’s the trickle charger that charges the battery and supplies power to the laptop is gone faulty. But where does on go for REPAIRS in such cases if it’s a hardware fault like I suspect.

I would never buy an Acer after this experience and vendor of same don’t want to know anything about it, and that was Carwarehouse, never met such an indifferent shower.
