Iconia W5 - Docking station problems

Hi,

I have just joined this forum hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.....

I own an Iconia W5 and the docking station has just completely died (no power lights when charger plugged in).
It has a damaged USB port and was working ok with mouse but when I plugged a keyboard in - docking station became hot and unresponsive (now there's no power light).

Anyway, the reason I was plugging these accessories in was for a reinstall of Windows 8.1.
Before docking station died, I managed to install 8.1 from USB stick from docking station.

The W5 is now going through the process of setting up Windows 8.1 from fresh and the tablet screen is unresponsive - I believe this is normal at this stage.
As such, you would need a usb keyboard/mouse to complete installation.

After googling I see that installation can be completed using the micro USB port on the tablet.

So my question is - which micro USB adapter should I buy?
ebay has a number to chose from.

Doing abit of forward thinking, as Windows 8.1 install requires both mouse and keyboard input (need to type computer name) - should I buy:
USB A 2.0 Female to Micro USB B Male OTG Adapter Date Cable Gift | eBay
and unplug/swap to mouse/keyboard when needed or should I go for:

3 in 1 Micro USB HUB Male to Female and Double USB 2.0 Host OTG Adapter Cable UK | eBay
and have both mouse and keyboard plugged in at the same time whilst doing install.

Was just concerned that if I'm unplugging mouse and swapping for keyboard during install it may not pick it up for some reason.

Any help/advice would be appreciated..

Thanks
Ian
