I bought this brand new from Acer.

Since I needed sound for my games, I bought Lodgitech Z200 speakers.

When I plug them into the green colored jack opening in the back of the tower all they do is buzz.

I have updated my driver and still won't play.

Can someone please help, I have tried everything I know to do.

Try restarting your computer.

 

Try moving speakers to a different location.

Okay I have restarted still don't work, I have physically moved the speakers and they still don't work.

I have also plugged them into a different area, still don't work.

 

So I plug them into my husbands lap top and they worked. So it isn't the speakers.

Ok.  

Try uninstalling/deleting your Realtek audio from device manager.  After it uninstalls, restart your computer.  And then let Windows automatically download and install the driver it wants to (this might take a few minutes).

 

 

If that doesn't work, you can re-install the driver from Acer downloads.

 

Also, check the Acer Care Center application on your computer  to see if there are any critical updates or driver updates.
