Hi guys, I really want to buy this new pc but first I need some answers please.
First question, do I have to replace the HDD with an SSD or can I have both?
Second question, I read that it has 2 mSata's ports so I shoould buy that type of SSD, am I right?
Do you have any model of SSD to advise me?
Last, I'm a student and there will be days when I can't recharge the laptop for 6 or more hours, how is the autonomy of the battery?
Thank you all guys!
PS I'm sorry for my bad english but I'm from Italy

I just bought this laptop, and while waiting it to be delivered i am seraching around on how to install a SSD M2.
I found this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKv5v24athY But can't understand if it is the same laptop...
I would like to keep the HDD for data and the SSD for the OS, this could be done, meybe changing some boot options in the BIOS to make the boot start from the SSD instead of the HDD. Anyone did that?
Hi,
Yes, you can insert the M.2 SATA SSD in the same place(as shown in the video), you can keep both drives but you need to change the boot order in BIOS after transfering your OS from the HDD, keep the HDD for your data.
To change the boot order, press F2 as soon as you switch on the laptop(before the Acer logo appears), go to boot tab and highlight your SSD, press F6 to bring that as your first boot, press F10 to save the setting, press yes to confirm.

Good morning, I read your response to a user thread asking if it was possible to install the ssd m.2 on his Acer. I am owner of a v5-591G-73M6.
I will post a screen, you can help me understand if even on my laptop you can install a ssd m.2? Thank you
Hi,
Could you please expand those Ports, you have two, click the + sign and post and find out which items are connected to those Ports.
You can use M.2 SATA drive and will work but checking these Ports will make sure whether you can install a normal M.2 SATA drive or NVMe drive.

Hi, You can install a M.2 SATA SSD, like this:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-250GB-850-EVO-SATA/dp/B00TGIVZTW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1492621112&sr=8-2&keywords=samsung+m.2+ssd

I finally did it myself. I buied and installed a 275GB Crucial MX300 M2 SSD for the OS and programs and keeped the 1TB HD for data.
The speed has increased a lot even if it could be faster (about 520MB/s read and 450MB/s Write).
Next step will be the upgrade to 16GB of RAM.
In the end i think it is a good laptop for the price, fullHD display, good CPU, good GPU (Ge force GTX 950M, but without DDR5, just DDR3). i use it for photo postproduction (photoshop and lightroom) and sometimes for some video editing (sony vegas) and it does the work!
I was initially disappointed for having just 3 USB but since i buied a bluetooth mouse which work with the integrated bluetooth this is no more a problem.

I already have a ssd, but I think I will buy an M2 to only use ssd!

The crucial will be fine. I mounted the 275GB one. You could eventually look for something faster...

I think I give priority to the ram (a 8gb bench) and then I'll take a 500sq ssd m2!
