So Im sure there HAS to be a setting somewhere, because this is just stupid.  My keyboard backlight will NOT just stay on.  It always wants to timeout in 20 seconds or so.  I want it to STAY ON.  Is there any way to actually get it to stop timing out when I choose to turn it on?

I'm having the exact same problem haha. I noticed that mine stays on if it's charging but not off-charge. Kind of annoying but not a dealbreaker in the long run. I've just been turning backlighting off when it's off-charge so I don't have to be annoyed by it. I just posted a topic about it as well. Kind of lame I know...

I'm going to start digging into it. Going to monitor the registry for any changes, and see if it's there

UPDATE 1:  OK, so I monitored the registry, to see if the key was in there.  As far as I can tell, it't not.  There are some settings for keyboard color (for the RGB keyboards), and on/off settings, but nothing that is related to the light staying on WITHOUT timing out.  Great.  That sucks.  Now, on to search the hard drive for changes to files.  Maybe its stored in an INI file or something somewhere.  To be continued.....

UPDATE 2:  So, from what I can tell, there are no file-based changes either.  My guess is this is a BIOS related setting.  The only way to get any kind of control here, is for Acer to add it to the list of option in the BIOS that we can switch.  And possibly add a Windows-side set of option in Predator Sense.
