Hey there guys,

I recently bought overwatch and been playing it. Somehow the game manages to decrease my battery while on AC power which we all know about the laptop being made like this.

Acer, we ask of you for a solution, its getting very annoying when it drains down to 30% and then the performace is the worst ever. FPS go between 30-50 and its laggy. This isn't something to be great about. You guys gave us a great looking laptop and its features are fantastic, but this issue of battery drainage while gaming is just an extreme downover.

I'm not a genius at computers but I believe if maybe its the power supply thats weak, not giving enough power to run the system. Maybe its the battery, i dont really know all I ask that this be put as a the worldwide problem to all the Acer predator laptop holders.

Thank you

    Hi,

as the battery works fine for about 5 hours I don't think there's a problem with the battery, so what esle is left than the psu? Maybe it's a nice feature to save the electricity? I cannot play much longer than three hours (usually half an hour), but after 3, battery was at 85% or so.  How long do you keep on playing, guy? Smiley Wink

I I forgot, my son did play about 5 hours and it was also compoletely okay.

So wait you guys are telling me, your battery doesn't decrease with the PSU in?

Acer support said it themselves that it does. And sir to the reply of the other person, is it wrong that I want to play for hours on my laptop?

No, but you really should aks Acer for a new power supply if your Battery is draining like that.

Another possibility is the Battery is faulty ...

Hi Eliejob I have a question I know this may be simple but on what power mode is your laptop running in ? Because maybe that is what is draining your battery. And also I found a review that addresses your problem http://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Predator-15-Notebook-Review.155862.0.html in here the acer predator manages 1.5 hours under load so I don't think that you have a problem

So wait when you guys are playing a high end game, your battery doesn't decrease while the PSU is connected after lets say an hour of playing?

Thats weird. Now I will go check if I can get this fixed. Problem is I live in the middle east and service here is bad. But please check guys that when you play a high end game your batteru doesnt decrease.

I live in the middle east as well, and the service here is horrible, BUT the online predator forums helped me fix nearly most of my issues as it was linked with outdated software, but if you have hardware problem then you are probably pretty much in trouble if the company that sold you the laptop didn't provide a replacement...

after i checked, my battery did drain a little bit 10~15% after heavy gaming, seems like its a normal issue according to the link you provided, http://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Predator-15-Notebook-Review.155862.0.html

i wouldn't consider this as a manufacture issue as long as the battery gives you 6-7 hours when fully charged and on normal use such as listening to music or browsing, should give you like 13 hours idle time, and 2~4 hours of heavy gaming, if you get those macros from your battery, that means your battery is fine, you can always do a battery test in the acer care software to determine if you have any issues with your battery, i don't really know how it works, but it always give me the indication of healthy status or good battery, it should give you the same, hope this helps!

I have had mine go under 30% while gaming after a couple hours. I've done research on it. The battery is suppose to decrease under gaming. It's just how the laptop was made, one of the flaws.
