V3-571G Randomly shutting down

I honestly cannot figure out what is wrong with this laptop.  I had upgraded it to Windows 10 and after a few weeks it would start randomly crashing, no blue screen, no notification that it didn't shut down properly, nothing.  Normally the screen will go blank with the backlight still lit, and it will make the notification sound when you plug and unplug the charger.  When this happens, holding the power button down works sometimes, and other times I have to remove the battery.  To get the computer to turn back on, you have to remove the battery and put it back in, and sometimes that doesn't even work... It'll just shut off again on the Acer startup screen.  I found out that Acer isn't going to update the BIOS for this particular model to be compatible with Win 10, so I reverted back to Windows 8.1, and it's still doing this.  Task manager shows the disk reading 100% sometimes, and other times it doesn't, and I've looked up solutions for that and none of them have worked so far.  I'm pretty sure the cpu fan is working properly, and I don't think any of the capacitors are blown.

edit: Also this laptop isn't even 3 years old, and the HDD shouldn't be deteriorating or anything like that.
