hello, I bought an internal SSD disk (Samsung 500GB 850 EVO, 500 Go, Serial ATA III with a caddy) to replace the CD-DVD ROM reader that will be now as externe usb drive). So have 2 hard drive (1 SATA Toshiba for Windows 7 and the new SSD one for Linux).

I have installed the SSD driver before install the disk, then Windows detect it and I could able to partition it to get a SSD part for Win and leave the rest to be handled by Linux install.

Linux installed well via USB (after change Boot order in Bios)

Grub also  with 2 os on 2 different disks.

But boot only occurs on Windows.

So I looked again into bios and I noticed that the SSD wasn't detected in BIOS. My BIOS version is 1.14. Bios keep seing the ATAPI CDROM where I put the caddy and SSD drive replacing the CD-DVDROM reader.

Questions :
>>Is there another version update higher thant 1.14, with advance options ?

On acer website support there is only 1.10 and 1.11

If there is 1.14 is there a way to have mod for it  ?

>>Could it be more relevant to switch place of disks. Put the Sata on caddy and SSD in place of Sata ?

>>If I only boot via Windows because only SATA detected on Bios, could it be possible to use BCDEDIT or some EsayBCD stuff to configure the boot and tell it to...act like Grub and propose my Linux at boot os list

thanks if can help
