The tapping function on my Aspire E5-573 with Windows 10 is not working properly. The single tap function does not work, necessating a click instead for every action. This is ergonomically tedious. Also, the clicking function does not work in the bottom left-hand corner - you have to click about almost halfway up on the touchpad to effect a click.
The Elan I2C touchpad driver is 13.6.3.1 dated 5/6/2015. On the forum I have only come across solutions to the Synaptics touchpad.

Have you tried the same driver version dated 27/07/15 from here:http://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/drivers
Thanks for that. It resolved the clicking versus tapping issue. What has not changed is that the touch pad 'buttons' seem to be quite high up on the pad, rather than at the bottom of the pad. Maybe that's mechanical rather than software?
