    Hi silent,

Here are the specifications and further reading on each monitor if you wish:

    http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xr341ck.htm

    http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_predator_x34.htm

They are, in essence, all exactly the same monitor.  They are all 21:9, IPS panel, 3440x1440.  There are some slight but significant differences though:

    1.  Refresh rate:

    - ROG Swift PG348Q and Acer Predator X34 = Overclockable within the monitor menu to 100hz (60hz default)

    - Acer XR341CK = 75hz

    2.  Adaptive Sync module:

ROG Swift PG348Q and Acer Predator X34 = NVIDIA G-sync

    - Acer XR341CK = AMD Freesync

With 1. the refresh rate difference is completely a personal preference, some people don't mind 60hz monitors and others want the highest they can get.  All of these monitors push out higher than 60hz but there will be a noticeable difference between 75hz and 100hz.

However, the main thing you want to focus on is 2. whether you pick up one with the AMD or the NVIDIA version of the adaptive sync technology.  NVIDIA call theirs "G-sync" and AMD call theirs "Freesync".  At the moment, these are proprietory-only, meaning that you can only use them with that manufacturer's graphics cards.  Most people tend to have a preference of card, and it will obviously depend on what card you currently have and what card you are likely to buy in the future as to which you would be able to make use of.  It will be a while until monitors and graphics card manufacturers start to open the technology so any monitor can make use of adaptive sync on any graphics card.

Also understand that it's perfectly OK to buy a monitor with the wrong type of sync for your manufacturer of graphics card.  All this means is that you won't be able to make use of that technology, unless you change your graphics card to match the manufacturer at a future time.  The rest of the features of the monitor will work regardless, it's just the adaptive sync module that is manufacturer-specific.

To be honest with you, it's one of those things that sometimes you will notice it badly, and other times you won't.  Unfortunately the NVIDIA version adds a bigger premium to the cost of the monitor than the AMD one does currently but I personally picked up the X34 because I like using NVIDIA cards as I've had bad experiences with AMD in the past.

I suggest doing some research on Freesync and G-sync if you aren't familiar with the technology, there is plenty around on a quick search and it's always good to learn more Smiley Happy

I hope this helps in your decision, please let me know if you have any more queries!

    Regards,
