Iconia Tab 8 W won't turn on

Question

Hi,

I bought this tablet about a month ago; it worked fine and then one day it just would not turn on. I have read through all the similar problems, tried pressing the power button and volume key at the same time, tried different chargers but nothing works. The screen changes to a slightly brighter black when I turn it on but nothing else happens. I didn't drop it, switched it off through the Windows menu and have been generally very careful with it... I remember thinking the back was too hot once but not immediately before the problem started. It's a factory refurb, no more warranty I'm afraid. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

yes, I used a wall charger; I tried two different ones, both had worked with my phone so they should be alright. I charged it for a few hours before I tried to turn it on. I tried again yesterday, but it's the same... It will have to be a repair shop, I'm afraid. But thanks for the tip and for getting back to me so quickly.

You are charging it with a wall adapter and not using a USB port on a computer or another device right? I recommend connecting to a working adapter and charging for at least an hour. Try powering the device on by pressing and holding power for 3 seconds. If the device will not come on, my only suggestion would be contacting a repair shop in your area.
