why can't I access the h.position,v.position,focus,clock,and autoconfig controls on my H236HL monitor? I know there must be a way to make this go full screen and not have a black almost 2 inch frame around the screen. I have my resolution set correctly at 1920 x 1080. I know this will display all the way out to the edge by the frame, as it does it at start up with the logo...so frustrating for it to be this smaller screen. Why buy this bigger monitor if you can't get it to display correctly. I am using hdmi to conect, could that have anything to do with it? It's so frustrating to have those settings there (v.position etc), and it not even allow you to select them to make adjustments! And what the heck is the auto button? As far as I can see , it does nothing.

I was having the same issue and this is what i found but you prob already got your answer.

Some monitor menu options are not adjustable when you connect the monitor using a DVI or HDMI cable. DVI and HDMI are digital interfaces that automatically adjust certain aspects of the display. The following options are only adjustable when connected via VGA:
    •H. position
    •V. position
    •Focus
    •Clock
    •Autoconfig
    •Color adjustment menus
