Driver troubles

I recently got windows seven on my acer laptop, but afterwards i couldnt acess the internet. looking through my computer i discovered these 6 devises werent installed, or not updated: Base System Device, Another Base System Device, the Ethernet Controller, the Network Controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, and the SM Bus Controller. How do i fix this?

    You may have problems finding drivers that work. This laptop was designed for Windows 8.1 and 10, without any consideration of Windows 7.

    Missing the SM Bus Controller means you don't have a compatable chipset driver. You can try Googleing drivers and trying them until you find good ones. That's all I could do.

    You can go back to 8.1 and install Start8  http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/

    and I believe after a while you won't even notice you're not running Windows 7. If you have software  you NEED Windows 7 for, try running it in Compatability mode.

    Sorry it an Acer Aspire E5-511 or an E5-511-C9AJ.

    Thank you very much I went ahead and set it up on Windows eight and it works much better now.

    Did you look at Start8? It has a great Win 7 style start menu.
