Thoughts on Multimedia Settings

What are your thoughts on the preset multimedia settings for the screen?

(Standard, Album, Movie, Game)

It seems like the Game mode has the best colors and brightness for regular use and gaming.

What are your opinions?

Is there a way to customize the screen settings more than this to make it better?

    I was about to make a topic on this but the forums suggested this (pretty cool feature tbh).

    Anyway, yeah, what do people think of the presets? I use them in the hope that they we're designed by people who know what the best screen/audio configurations are for any given media. But then on my previous laptop (Toshiba Qosmio X870) there weren't any and from memory remember leaving it as default, just increasing colour saturation.

    Audio wise I tend to ignore Dynamic and stick to the Music preset for most scenarios other than watching movies or playing games.

    I personally feel like Album actually has the best colour accuracy/contrasts - it's just that it's a bit dark for gaming.

    Game mode is definitely the brightest but I feel the colours get washed out - i.e blacks not as deep

    I've used Movie mode for watching movies - screen is a dimmer game mode - sound goes virtual surround - seems relatively effective.

    Maybe leaving it on Standard but changing the audio manually is best for most situations?

    Can people describe what each setting actually does?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    I haven't noticed that audio is altered when changing between the 4 picture multimedia setttings...is this really true?

    I also stick to the music preset Dolby setting and definitely sounds the best for pretty much everything.

    Which picture modes do you use?

    Keep the Dolby software open and while on Predator Sense (or hotkeys) change between the multimedia modes and you'll see the former change too - must mean you're not a good audiophile Smiley LOL

    Standard = Dynamic

    Album = Music

    Movie = Movie

    Game = Game

    Voice and custom are separate.
