Switch 10- unable to stream video since most recent Win10 Update

I've been running Windows 10 on my Switch 10 since the start of the new year without any problems. Last night when I powered down it did some automatic updates. Now I am unable to stream video properly. The picture freezes and restarts every few seconds. It is a bit like a buffering issue, but it occurs even when when the file has finished downloading. I'm certain it is not an internet issue, as my speedtests are reading 45Meg both wired and wireless, and other devices on the same connection can play the same files without a problem. I've tested on You Tube, Amazon Video and BBC iplayer, and get the same results.

It seems like the update has somehow reduced the resources available for streaming and cuases the picture to continually stutter. Has anyone else experienced this, and are there any actions I can take to remedy the situation.

After a bit more research it has turned out that this is a Google Chrome browser issue. All the offending apps play perfectly in Microsoft Edge. I've made some of the changes suggested in the chrome help pages, and even reset all of of the browser settings to their default value. This has made very little difference at all. You tube now works OK, but BBC i player, Amazon video and anything flash based are unwatchable.

Is anybody else having problems running chrome under Windows 10. I am struggling for an explanation, because up until last wee everything was fine.
