Acer xf240H 120hz/144hz problem ?

Hi there,

I've been looking for quite some time now and can't find an answer to my question so here i am.

I've just bought a MSI laptop with a GTX960M and the Acer monitor XF240H and i wanted to plug the monitor to the laptop in order to get 120Hz at least.

My problem is that it doesn't seem to work as i don't see the option for more than 60Hz anywhere. I m running windows 10 and my monitor is linked with a DVI-D->adapter to Mini-DP  to my laptop.

Any idea why it doesn't work and what i should do to make it work ?

Best regards,

David (I'm a novice)

    Hi,

for  the Acer G9 it should be similar. If you plug it to the HDMI you get 60hz, if you plug it to the display port you should get more. One is related to the Intel and one to the Nvidia graphics. Maybe you can use an Adapter?

    Maybe that can help?
