Hey Everyone,

I'm thinking of purchasing a Predator 15 G9-591-70VM but a deciding factor is will it support RAID and more specifically RAID 0 for m.2 sata drives.

So far reviews have been good on this just no one really looks at raid options so I haven't been able to get that one question answered yet.

The G9-791 is just the bigger version and I cannot use the raid options due to a faulty Bios (EFI).

If you want to use Raid, you have to switch from EFI to Legacy. If I choose now the raid option, I have to put out all discs. to get the bricked machine working again and set back to EFI or to AHCI to get it working again,

There's half a year and ACER is not able or not willing to fix it.

But by the way, for me it does not make any sense. If you want to do so for performance or capacity?

The two slots are different, one is NVME+Sata  and one only Sata. So if you want a Raid0 with two M2 SSDs it has only the speed of 2x SATA 3.

I use a 950Pro which is about 2 times faster than this raid.

If you want to have capacity okay. You buy for e..g. 2 x PM751 500GB and you get a 1TB Raid 0 with about 1000mb/s throughput.

In my setup I have 1 SATA SSD M2, 1x NVME M2 and one 2TB Sata hdd. I use the SATA M2 as SSD Caching for the 2 TB hdd. So all games are starting almost as fast as installed on the caching ssd. Maybe this could also be an option?
