Iconia W3 810 32gb Windows 8.1 update issues.

I recently was given an Iconia W3 810 32gb tablet. After buying a new power adapter, I turned it on and it appeared as though it had never been turned on before. There were A LOT of updates to be run. After running all the updates, updating BIOS and the Intel drivers, I am now trying to update to Windows 8.1. I currently get an error message that there is not enough disk space to install. Needless to say, I do not have the recovery disks, otherwise, I would just perform a clean install. Is there a way that I can download Windows 8.1 to a jump drive and install from it? I am "somewhat" computer literate, but I am certainly not an expert. Thank you in advance for any and all assistance.

Likely all those update images are still there. Run Disk Cleanup, click on Clean Up System Files (or something really similar) and let it remove the downloaded updates.

Not sure what happened. Windows 8 did an update a few days ago. I somehow ended up with around 7.5g of available free space on the hard drive. Decided to give the 8.1 update one more shot, and what do yuo know? It worked! Running 8.1 as I type.
