Hello,

I'm having problem with my keyboard. When I start pressing some keys on the keyboard, letter "w" keeps on pressing/typing on screen even i didn't press it. The letter "w" key is not even stuck. When I press escape key it stops typing on screen. On-screen keyboard seems fine.

I have scan my laptop with Kaspersky, Avira and Trend Micro Housecall and all comes clean. It's the 3rd day that can't use my laptop because of this problem.

    Hello,

    Have you tried this:

    1. Shut down your laptop

    2. Disconnect the AC adapter

    3. Wait few minutes

    4. Follow this procedure

Note: The battery reset pinhole is marked with this symbol AC-BRP on the bottom of the laptop.

    - Yes sir, since this is my 4th day since the problem started. so everytime I open my laptop same problem occur. No hardware problems either when i scan for hardware changes in the device manager. the driver is already upto date also. My laptop is a year and a month old and i only used it every night for 2~4 hours average.

    Hi mouz_biz,

Out of curiousity is it possible to test with an external keyboard? My first instict is that there may be a hardware problem with the keyboard itself and the W key is somehow making contact.

I bought and external keyboard and yes its working.

Any instruction to fix this on my own? I couldn't find any Acer service center here in Morocco.

The W key if press doesnt work. If i press certain keys the repeated W keystrokes doesnt work only on some keys that when I press the infinite keystrokes kicks in.
