I cannot acces the APN settings on my mobile phone TO3. The only given choice is to reset the APN settings. I have no datacom when not connected to wifi. How should I go about this?

on the APN screen, with the "not working" SIM, do you have a list of APNs?

if so, maybe you can try to modify one of the existing.

have you tried to do a long press on the screen, if you don't have a list of APNs?

    do you mean T03 Z630?

i don't have your model but normally (with mobile data enabled):

    settings/More/Cellular networks/Access point names

on the top right there's a symbol to add an APN

That's exactly where I expect to get a choice to add an APN. Instead it gives only 1 possibility: to reset to default APN settings.

I have tried another simcard from another provider and that works fine in this Acer Z630 TO3.

The present simcard, which partly doesn't work properly in this Acer mobile, works fine in my other mobile (Iphone).

It looks like a bad combination of my present provider's simcard with this Acer Z630.

Your persistence made me think out of the box. Next to the "3 dots" was a small grey circle with a "+" inside it.

Guess what this "+" meant ....

I feel a bit stupid not having noticed it before, but the stronger feeling is that oit now works properly.

    Thank you, Ironfly.
