K272HUL screen became like this after waking from sleep

This is a monitor connected to my late 2015 imac and when I went to wake the computer from sleep after dinner, the screen showed up like this for a few minutes (flickering this grey/white/black pattern and shifting the pattern) and then went black. I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting from the imac and it's doing the same thing. Turning on and off doesn't help either. Even when the monitor was disconnected completely from the imac, it turned on to this screen, so I don't think it's a problem with the connection to the imac. Anyone experienced this or should i call acer for a replacement?? Thanks!

Double check that your video cable is well plugged, disconnect the powe supply from the monitor for about 5 minutes, turn it on without connecting to the iMac; if it still have this issue give Acer support service a call, not normal at all.
