    Hello,

     

    Your laptop supports up to 16Gb - DDR3L - 1600MHz (2x8Gb).

    If the actual module is Hynix, you'll have issues of compatibility. I suggest you to buy the same memory module or two new parts. You'll be able to find the brand and the part number with HWINFO portable version (no installation).

    Here are the original memory modules of 4Gb:

    The laptop won't boot or ramdomly BOSD.

    As you only have one memory module, it works in single channel 1600/2=800MHz.

    You need two modules to run at 1600MHz ---> Dual channel.
