Acer One 10

I didn't see my particular question answered, but I think I remember part of it being addressed in the past month. I finally was able to get it working once out of the box. However, once it comes on I am listed only as defaultuser0. I could not get it to give me a microsoft account with a password. All I managed to do was change my account password for our desktop computer. I've been able to use my Acer One 10, even accessing my one drive files. However, if I allow my tablet/covertible to "sleep" or time out, I have to click on the power button instead of entering a password. I have to select restart every time. It's been ok, so far, but what happens when I have been working on something (or ordering something online) and it times out? I'll basically lose whatever I've done. Help? I'm going to St. Louis later in the week for a work conference and I want to be able to take this with me.
