Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire XC-603 desktop which I have upgraded to Windows 10. Now, I cannot get my external hard drive to be recognised by the USB 3.0. I contacted the manufacturer of the external hard drive (Seagate) who suggested said:

"We're sorry your replacement drive is also having issues getting detected. Based on the message you're seeing, it's likely that you have the default Windows USB 3.0 drivers installed and the drivers for the specific USB 3.0 chipset you have installed in your system. We would recommend going to the website for your computer or motherboard manufacturer and downloading the specific USB 3.0 chipset drivers for your computer. Once this is updated the drive should then get detected correctly and will allow the drive to show up in Windows Explorer."

The USB controller is an "Intel (R) USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft)" however, when I download the driver update it says that I do not meet the minimum system requirements and it will not install.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
