Dual boot Linux and Windows 10 on Acer V15

Dear Friends,

Having read all the dual boot threads,  I am still uncertain as to whether or not to purchaces the Nitro V15.

Since 4.5 supports all hardware as I see it,  the issue remains simple installation while maintaining windows 10.

Thus is there a simple explanation of the following:

1. Disable secure boot permanently.

2. using efi/gpt to run windows,  linux plus separate /home on ssd,(I'll use slower hdd as /data)

3.  failing number 2,  completely eradicate windows and simply single boot linux.

Obviously,  # 2 is better,  if possible,  and I have no objection to the workarounds I have seen involving using boot menu,  but I surely do not want to dedicate the ssd to windows in which I would barely store a gig or two of data.

If one of the Acer reps says it were possible,  I should do it as soon as laptop arrives,  and document it for the community.

Certianly,  a kernel without the latest atheros firmware is useless, by the way.

Without the "key"  the idea solution,  running windows 10 in VMware is clearly a non-starter.

Logically,  I do not wish to attempt solution 3 and brick the device.

All good wishes,
