My Acer H233H that is connected to a Microsoft Surface Pro with Windows 10 goes black for 3-5 second

The Acer monitor is connected to a Microsoft Surface Pro as a second monitor.  The Acer monitor goes black for 3-5 seconds very frequently.  How do I fix this problem.

    Hi hansmeijer,

     

    I think the first step would be determining what the issue is. Can you connect another monitor to your Surface pro? If so, does it exhibit the same issues? That would indicate the Surface Pro would be the issue, and it still may only be a setting or configuration issue.

     

    Or, can you plug the H233H into another device (preferably a standard PC). If it continues to go black for 3-5 seconds at a time it would indicate that the issue is likely the monitor. There are a few small things that might be doable, but with monitors it generally, it's either they work,  or they don't. If they don't, contact our service team and get it setup so we can resolve that issue for you.
