Acer refusing to reimburse my shipping costs

Hi I just had a second fault on my x34 

the call centre of acer asked me to ship it to a dealer in Guernsey Channel Islands for repair,

last time I did this I paid dhl got it shipped over and got my refund within 30dsys,

now I've just sent the waybill and receipt and do wine from acer has emailed me to say sorry but we cannot refund  shipping charges on items outside mainland uk?

so now I'm pretty angry about this especially ad I've paid to ship a faulty unit in warranty. Under 4mnths old..

land then been told there not going to reimburse me.

anyone here who can share some advise before I go down the legal route please contact me please.

    Well if you have evidence of a promise form Acer that they will reimburse you for the shipping cost, I think you can escalate that and get it resolved…

    This was only agreed verbally over the phone.

    but it  is lucky I work for a uk telecoms company as a core engineer and have the call logs recorded,

    i guess this is just as viable as a written email.

    the frustration is why should I pay to have my faulty goods shipped for a repair.

    its a disgrace.

    on top of that when I bought my monitor via the uk.

    never was it mentioned I would have to pay out of my own pocket to get a faulty item fixed.

    you know we are talking a so called premium product.

    with a second rate service.

    it's just poor all around.

    this is my second  return I think I fact I may just request the repair centre in Guernsey keep it and acer refunds me my full amount for the monitor  based just out of there poor attitude.

    not to mention the goods and service act

    which entitles me a full refund anyway.

    company's quick to take almost £1,000 for a monitor 

    but not so quick to resolve there  own issues

    and it seems with this monitor there are plenty of irate customers.

    I feel you but here in U.S. is the same way, I sent my unit 2 times for repair and I always ended up paying to send it, because Acer does not cover that charges and many pep I know in the community is the same way, I guess is on Acer policy or warranty that they don’t have to pay for that idk, but wish u good luck with that….
