G9-791-77P1: HDMI connected monitor going black radomly for a couple of seconds

Hi Everyone

I have a G9-791-77P1 with an external HDMI monitor attached.

The monitor will radomly go black for a couple of seconds. Some days it happens every couple of minutes, other days only once  or twice for the entire days usage.

It also reports "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" on a regular basis.

I've tried replacing the HDMI cable (have tried four) and tested on three different monitors. All have the same result.

Point to note, that the monitors with the same cables work fine on my desktop and hp envy laptop.

I've rebuilt  my PC back to factory defaults  as recommended by Acer and also played with the refresh rate.

Have also applied all the latest drivers available on the acer support site.

Nothing has made any improvement.

Acer support insists that its my monitor, but do not see how this can be given that it presents the same issue on three different ones and only when attached to the Predator.

The whole point of buying a premium gaming laptop was not to have any of thiese issues :-(

Appreciate any suggestions that you may come up with.

Thanks in advance
