I can't install Windows 10 on my older laptop. There's a hidden aprtition that the upgrade can write to. How do I get rid the the nag screen, or is there a workaround? Support wants me to pay for an answer.
Are you trying to clean install Windows 10 with a disk?
No, it's the nag screen that Microsoft generates every so often. I tried nstalling, but it alays fails becaues of the hidden partition on the hard drive.
Personally, I would recommend that you don't instaall Win 10.
There is very little advantage over 8.1 and a big problem with drivers.
There is no support from Acer for Win 10 on this laptop.
