AG3-605 : ventirad for cpu : which one?

As I am closed to rebuild my AG3-605 with a new motherboard (same as the damaged), I want to try a new ventirad.

That's not easy to find one. Noctua NH-L12 seems to be the one which can complete my rebuild. But I'm not so geek as you could believe and confirmation of my choice would be great. It's up to you! And thanks!

    Hi jaclou,

I'm glad to hear that you bought a new MB.Smiley Happy The delay was fast enough.

I already tried to replace the fans of my old desktop by another brand.

Unfortunately the management of speeds was bad so thermal issue. The thermal module or the smart fan is set for the original fans (speed/ voltage/ %PWM).

We only have two available options: Regulated or full speed.

E.g. Fan heatsink speed: 4200~4500rpm and Fan case speed: 2200~2500rpm.

I tried to manage the different speeds with Speedfan but after few days I noticed the bios was "disturbed".

Well I ordered original Sunon  fans.

    Question:

Do you already have a fan case?

    France

    Laurent, glad to read you!

First, mobo isn't here today...but has to come these next days!

Secondly, I'm not so geek with the speeds and things about the fans!

But, i've ordered one for the rear case : arctic F8 four pins.

And NH-L12 noctua for the cpu....I don't know for sure that will work out but...maybe do you know something about that?

Do you think these new devices will be well integrated by the motherboard and bios

    I hope so!

Exactly the brand that I tried: Artic Cooling (good products but...).

Ok I'm going to explain with a concrete case... mine.

My original fan case is Sunon 92x92x25mm - 2200 rpm and I tried to replace by Artic F9 3pins 1800rpm.

    1. Normally in starting up with both Sunon fans:
      Heatsink: 1250rpm Case: 940rpm
The speeds increase and decrease according the temperature.
    2. With the Sunon and Artic F9:
Heatsink:1150rpm  Fan:780rpm but after one hour the temperature increased and  the speed increased lightly about 800rpm. So I uninstalled the Artic.
    3. As I said, the bios contains certain settings that we can't change. The speeds of two fans are linked for these reasons: Air flow and always a light preassure in the case for the dust. It is not easy to explain!
    4. My advise: Keep the original heatsink and install one of these case fans:
      1. Original fan:
        Spoiler
        HI.10900.017FAN.SYSTEM.2500RPM
        (Sunon 92x92x25mm - 2500rpm - 4 pins - lengh of the wires=110mm)
      2. May be the Artic F9 TC (temperature control)

    Thanks a lot!

I understand that it's better to keep the acer devices in my pc!
