Acer E5 771

I use the Acer E5 771. My laptop screen usually darkens when I visit websites or watch clips that are dark. After closing the site or the video the screen lights up again brightly. I have tried to change the brightness settings under the battery icon but it still does darken.

 

Is there another solution to this problem?

I checked the settings and they were already off. I have put them on and then off again. Hope that will do.

The first suggested solution unfortunately didn't do the job. I have now adjusted the setttings according to your 2nd suggestion.
