I'm not sure about what's in 1.14 since the description indicates it updates the header of the code to activate a non-Windows Acer installation, prolly Linux.

Let me see if I can extract the BIOS file for you from the DOS executable. Can't do it tonight though.

Wow. That would be above and beyond. Thanks in advance.

you need to run the exe file (windows version, since it's the only i tried) on another PC and let unpack the files, don't start the flash process or close any error window but browse here:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\xxxxxxxx.tmp - or if you prefer (windows logo key + r then type %temp% )
the folder name changes from system to system, so you need to find it (hint: search by date) and copy the whole folder to desktop, inside you will find the *.FD or *.bin file (that's the raw BIOS).

then you need to rename it correctly to work as recovery BIOS.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Thanks IronFly! So brickroad, do you want to see what's in your \Users temp subdirectory before I try to fire up one of my old DOS machines?
