Has anyone else had issues with their screen cracking?

I ordered my Chromebook at the end of November and initally I was very happy with it, but a couple days ago, I took my chromebook out of my messenger bag and there was a crack in the top left corner of the screen! I am very gentle with my laptop, and my messenger bag is one that is specifically designed with laptops in mind, I've never had a problem with it in all the years I've been taking laptops to school in that bag. Now I only use it at honme, and if im not using it, it stays on my nightstand, yet the crack has grown bigger and bigger. I am honestly because I actually really liked this chromebook...

Yes.  My cb3 111 6 screen cracked overnight. I literally turned it off.  Put it on its shelf and  woke up to a broken screen.  It seems to be happening across a  variety of chromebooks.  But I have yet to hear anything from acer about this.
