X34 backlight doesn't turn off while sleeping/power saving?

Hello, thanks for reading any any feedback. I just received an X34 monitor and wanted to check if this was happening for anyone else, I could not find a definitive answer or video online.

When I turn my computer off or put it to sleep, I notice the X34 monitor display itself remains in an "on" state, that is, the backlight appears to still remain on. The indicator light does turn from blue to orange and the LEDs on the bototm side of the panel also turn off. However, the display itself appears to still remain in an "on" state. The latter characteristics appear to be consistent with the "power saving" mode that is outlined in the manual. It however does not state the backlight will remain on.

Compare this to an XB1, or generally any other monitor for that matter, when putting a computer to sleep, the display itself will turn off completely and turn black, off and completely devoid of any light. The indicator light will turn from blue to orange as well.

Is this normal behavior for the X34? Is there a setting for this I can toggle that I have not figured out yet? Thank you again for any thoughts or feedback, it is appreciated.

TL;DR: When my X34 monitor goes to sleep, the display doesn't turn off as the backlight just stays on and is a lit black screen. Is this normal?

After doing some testing, I found that this only happens when headphones are plugged into the headphone jack of the monitor. Can anyone else confirm this?

    Hi orijinal,

Good news is that you're not crazy (or alone). I was able to replicate the issue this morning. I documented the issue and I've forwarded it to the right people. Nice job troubleshooting this down to the audio port.

I doubt this was "designed" but I'm not sure what or if it can be fixed at this time. As soon as I know more I'll get you an update.
