Acer Liquid Z410 BRAND NEW does NOT power up

Need some advice please.

 

Brand new Acer Liquid Z410 does not power up at all.

 

I plug it into charger, blue light comes on, charging symbol appears.

 

Then every few mins start up screen flashes and nothing more,

 

Blue light remains on, has been on FIRST charge for at least 5 hours,so should be able to start up.

 

Have tried power and volume up butoons, open to reboot option menu, tried all 3 options and again nothing,

 

Please help

    have you tried the factory reset?

    phone must be shut down

    press power button + volume down

    at first vibration press volume up

    select recovery

    at dead android press power volume

    choose wipe data/factory reset

    Same problem as lemoncake - My original battery almost exploded , bought a new one but does not working .
