acer are a disgrace

i had packaged my acer tablet ready for pick up from ups on he 27th of january before i packaged the tablet i checked with family members and showed them that the lcd screen was fine and there was no damage at all to the screen. i have a phone call from acer agent female she was saying that my tablet needed a new motherboard so i said ok np she then mentioned that the lcd screen of the tablet was cracked all over i was very angry about this because she said i had to pay 65 pounds for screen repair when screen was fine when ups came to pick it up so its either acer responsibility or ups  i payed 100 pounds for my tablet i might aswel scrap it now for 65 pounds what a discrace from acer i will never deal with them again terrile service

    Sounds like you have a beef with UPS, not Acer. Turn in a damaged in shipment claim with them.

    It's unfortunate that you've been put in this situation. I hope you're able to follow billsey's suggestion and contact the shipper and possibly file a claim of some sort.

     

    This is always a tough position for Acer as well, we understand that these are frustrating for all involved, including us. They slow down the repair process at minimum, or upset a customer such as yourself at worst. Unfortunately, something like a screen doesn't crack without pressure, which would take it outside of what the warranty supports, and our receiving team cannot determine how the damage happened or even when the damaged happened.


    I know that doesn't help resolve your issue today. I'm certain that the receiving team you're working with will do everything they can and I hope this helps understand the process and stuggles from our side.
