Hi, I cannot download new apps because there is " insufficient storage " on my Acer E 350 smartphone. Yet when checking storage I find:

25 MB available on internal storage ;

1.32 GB available on USB storage and

9.76 GB available on SD card .

I have indicated USB storage as preferred install location

Has anybody had this problem . Any solution ?

Thanks

phil

    the problem is the internal storage, even if you set SD as default storage, the main part of the applications go to the internal storage.

    you have to uninstall some applications to free up some storage.

    Thanks Iron Fly

    It was my guess but then what is the point of adding an sd card? and also  for each application downloaded I used the "move to" function in APPS to transfer each  app from' phone'  to 'usb storage' in order to (I thought ) free up  internal storage

    Is it a mistake ?

    Btw , is there a way to access the internal storage memory and list its content (and move some of it )?

    Thanks for your time,

    SDcard is used to store camera pictures/videos and part of applications when you tap on "move to SD", there's no USB storage. Smiley Happy

    even if you move some application, only a part of it, will be moved, it depends on how the application is set from the software house or programmer.

    to check internal storage content you can use the File manager app, normally it's already installed.
