[Solved] Aspire VN7-591G BIOS v1.15 causing higher temperature

nvm, I have figured it out.

It seems like the NoteBook FanControl software has a bug when setting to auto, it prevents the fans from running when the temperature is under 70C which the laptop normally does to keep the temperature on 50C.

This software does not work on BIOS v1.13, so I totally forgot about it when updating to v1.15.

Sorry for my incautiousness.

===================================

hi,

Just updated the BIOS to v1.15 on my 591G today and the CPU is now 10C hotter than before.

Before on BIOS v1.13, the CPU stayed at 53C when doing some light works (web browsing etc.) and 50C when idle.

After the update, the CPU now jumps to 60C ~ 63C and stays there, it won't come down even on idle. And I also noticed that the temperature spikes to 70-ish ~ 80 for a few seconds when reaching to the desktop, either waking up from sleep or power on, which have never happened before the update.

Is there any explanations or fixed about this issue? If not, is it safe to download the v1.13 patch and restore the BIOS?

Thanks!
