Aspire 5742 not allowing changes to Power options

in 2015 Archives

I am trying to change the Power Options to Never Sleep or Hibernate but as much as I alter the settings it isn't doing it.  I have upgraded to Windows 10.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you

    Hi Felicity,

     

    I'm making some assumptions, but you may want to go into the advanced settings and turn off a few other things like putting the HDD to sleep. From there make sure both your on battery and plugged in options are set correctly.

     

    Finally, maybe a screenshot of the issue would help others contribute more to your issue.
