Laptop makes a beep when plugging in charger, never did this before?

Acer Aspire V3-551G-8454.

My computer has never done this before, it recently started, but only happens sometimes.

Sometimes when I plug in my computer it makes a loud beep. (also when I unplug it)

The volume on the computer is turned off.

However, also, sometimes it does NOT play the beep. I would not be annoyed at it but the fact that it does it sometimes and not others makes me wonder if it is bad or not.

The computer is new, got it early January.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I still am occasionally having this issue.

    Is anyone else having this?

This can be caused by many things, but to be perfectly honest it's not exactly indicative of anything being wrong with your unit. If you look at most other laptops using Win7 this happens rather frequently. To be absolutely sure nothing is wrong I would suggest going into the device manager and uninstalling the driver marked ACPI Compliant something or other by Microsoft under the section "Batteries". To do this you can run devmgmt.msc in the prompt brougth up by pressing Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard. Then simply open the drop-down under battery and right click the driver.

    Best of luck!
