Well it seems am unable to use my ram on this laptop for some strange reason?

Specs as followed

Hynix HMT451S6AFR8A-PB 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600MHz / Hynix HMT425S6AFR6A-PB 2GB PC3-12800 DDR3-1600MHz

Also when tried both of them in both slots gives me a black screen or ram needing to be the same on start up well they are the same just that one 2gb and the other is 4gb  ..

By the way tested this ram on another system and reads perfectly fine ? Seem like acer need to do another bios update on memory support ?

Looking up your system. I find that it isn't supported to run Different Size Ram. even if everything matches besides the Size....

So 2 +2, Or 4+4 would work. and also a single 8 for a max of 8 supported...

Not all hardware is made the same. So what one computer may be able to do another may not.

    Hope this helps some
