Z520 freezes with black screen

Had my Z520 about a month and quite pleased but it has now started freezing with a black screen. Nothing I tried will clear it  except taking out the battery and re-start the phone. Its then OK for a day or so but then does it again.  Battery is almost fully charged and no apparent warning signs so any ideas out there please?

    please try a factory reset, backup your personal data first:

    settings/backup&reset - factory data reset

     

    if the issue persist, contact your dealer or Acer support service.

    Just tried the reset option but when you get to the final screen that says "Erase everything" nothing happens! 

     

    Looks like its going back.

     

    UPDATE:  I found out by accident that the reset happens when you use power button the restart the phone, so its been reset and we will see how it works now.
