can I ram upgrade or not "acer aspire 5745PG i3"

i have a acer aspire 5745PG its running windows 7 64bit, it has a i3, 3gb ram, touchscreen, 320gb hdd. 

I put in 2x4GB new compatible ram and it will not reboot, i had to put old back,

I was told you can't uprade, I was told maybe upgrade Bios....I can't find a answer can this unit be upgraded?

    So, it's going to depend on your system, but yes, you should be able to upgrade to at least 8 GB total.
