My aspire switch 10 has 2GB RAM, 1.33 GHz processor, 32 bit.  Tried upgrading to Windows 10, but keep f=getting a message that 5 GB of space is needed?  What can I do?  It is not obvious by looking at the tablet that I can increase the memory.  Suggestions?  Thanks Dana

5GB of space, doesn't mean more ram but more storage.

you need to check your SSD storage and free some space.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Or you can use a microSD card or a USB drive. It is for the backup files.

Easiest is to look at properties for your computer to get memory amount, and just open Computer in File Explorer to see how much free space there is on the drive. I'm betting you have less than 5GB free on the drive...

    Hi Bill,

Well that did not go as well as I had hoped.  Although there was 10 GB on the flash drive, the system said it needed more.  So now I've plugged in my external drive which has 235 GB free of 931 GB.  Seems like the download is taking forever!  I'll let you know how this works out.

Just a FYI but my pipe is 70-90Mb/s and the time to go from a new 8-64 Pro installation to 10 is measured in days. Started the latest set of updates (181) at 9 am and at 2pm it is still kechunking. (failed the first time from 8 pm to 5 am)

    Oy Vey!

Your system just seems so much bigger that my little tablet, and your experiencing this!  I'll do all the updates once again and then try to download windows 10.

Thanks for the heads up.  Dana

I had no trouble installing on a W3 with a SD card. Is about as small as they go.
