My Acer F-20 monitor (2005) has sluggish startup. Hafta plug it in about 20 times to 'launch' it.

Monitor doesn't start, almost tossed it. Discovered that if I unplug and replug power supply 5, 20, 30, 40 ... times, the montor will eventually start up with the logo, then if I touch the keyboard, the screen will display as usual.

Usually runs all day or as long as I keep working, once it's going.

Now it's occasionally quitting after starting, have to do it all over again. Very tedious .. worse than starting my old motorcycle ;-)

Anyone know what's going on? Pretty sure power supply is working .. green light always comes on, measured power on jack.

Seems to be something quirky at the monitor.

No help from Acer as it's well out of warranty.

About ready to give up on it .. any help welcome!
