Monitor Won't Display Boot Setup

I just bought a new ultrawide monitor, Acer XR341CK. The monitor works fine using display port when booting or running the OS (Windows 10), and will show a splash screen of the motherboard (Gigabyte) when booting. However, the monitor won't detect a signal and turn on until midway through the splash screen. If I hit F12 when booting, it will go to the boot setup, but the monitor will have no signal. I hooked my pc up to my Samsung 1080p tv using HDMI. When booting up on the tv, I get a longer splash screen duration and then boot setup is displayed.

Not sure why I'm getting no signal early on in the boot process, or when in boot setup, with the new Acer monitor. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

To clarify, the issue is I can't see anything when in boot setup. The computer is working correctly, and the monitor works fine with the OS, its just that the monitor isn't receiving any signal when in boot setup.
