    As it was already stated this is not an issue it's a feature on all gaming laptops and when i play i play for 10h+ and never had issues with the battery discharging it may discharge a bit on more powerful versions but not to the point of getting as low as 40% because that is when the charger kicks in again to charge the batter if this you on AC and performance plan so my advice to all those who think this feature is rubbish and useless i am sorry to inform you but all gaming laptops have it no matter what's the manufacturer so you are better getting a gaming desktop instead because a gaming laptop is not suitable for you.

    And @hamidsh neither acer neither any manufacturer will state anything about it because its not a defect its a very useful feature which can enable a normal laptop to run high performance cpu's and gpu's which wouldn't be possible without the battery's aid as having a more powerful psu would fry all the motherboards but hey by your statements you seem to be a capable enough engineer to invent something else to power gaming laptops and again if you are not happy with it i advise a desktop instead i don't see the need on complaining about nonsense
