My Iconia B1-820 is making a metallic clicking sound in the vicinity of the camera lens/battery.

My Iconia B1-820 tablet has been making a metallic sounding click around the vicinity of the camera lens, and I am assuming the battery. Battery life has also been suffering significantly. The clicking happens when the device is on, whether charging or running off the batttery. There are no apps running. It starts shortly after the device boots. I am concerned to continue using the device for fear it's a battery issue and a potential hazard. What can I do to diagnose the issue and get it resolved?

Thanks

i doubt a battery can "click", are you sure it's not the camera lens trying to AF?

start the camera application and have a look if it can focus.

you can also try a factory reset and check if it still clicks:

    settings/backup&reset - factory data reset

remember to backup your personal data before doing it.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Interesting theory. It does sound much louder right at the camera lens. What would cause the camera to activate when no specific app was started? When I did turn the camera app on, the clicking did stop. Although it resumed again as soon as I closed the camera app. Doing the factory reset now to see if that changes anything. Thanks for the reply.
